Fountain Hill Indians

We were the Indians...

We were not hunter-gatherers...

We were not bold or brave warriors...

A few were pretty good, most were just average, some below that...

But when we took to the field...

Urged on by the incessant cheering of Mrs. Gaugler...

When we joined together as a team...

We were a single unit with a single mission...

Defending our turf...

Operating like a small well-oiled machine...

In those precious moments...

Those formative years...

The time when a young boy gets a vision of what he can do...

The days that build a boys self-esteem...

The moments that turn young boys into young men...

Even in those moments...

FH Indians

We were pretty bad.

...and you would be located where in the picture?

We weren't that "bad". Some of us we're even good enough to play under the esteemed tutelage of Ed Zeltzer and John Schwartz for several years.

Fat kid in the front

T,

Bottom right?

How many of these youngsters went on to play big league ball?

PMG - I'm not going to tell you if you're not even going to guess.

W - Wrong kid. And I don't know of anybody in that picture that played ball beyond high school. Only of few played that long.

I believe I see someone under the bleachers with a weinershnitsel and a Yuengling. Can't tell if it is the Lager or the Porter, but I am betting that it is you.

Tony,

I would like to give them a hint if I could. The hint would be - monkey!

"Monkey", huh?

Top right (next to Coach Cleats)?

Not that I think that kid looks like a monkey but to my eye he has the most simeon features of anyone on the team. (Just remember, I'm not the one who threw the "monkey" clue out there. I'm guessing that was your sister's doing.)

That kid was actually in my original line-up of suspects but he looked a little too "wormy" to be you. Plus, Moon said, "fat kid in the front row" with sufficient authority to cause me to focus my search exclusively on the front row.

Also, knowing you, I figured you would sit as far from the authority figure as you could. On the other hand, I can imagine Coach Cleats saying, "Korves, sit next to me so I can keep an eye on you".

...and we have a winner!

Actually Moon was was not guessing, he WAS the fat kid in the front row. Of course now he's just some skinny little retired Marine.

And I think we can all pity Coach Cleats. There he is with his RayBans on, trying to look cool (mainly by staying about as far away from his own kid as possible - first row, second from left). He wasn't the best coach, but he did have a stack of Playboys in his basement! This fact made young Jimmy Cleats a popular kid.

Donna picked you out in about two seconds with no clues. I'm not sure what to make of that.
